  • Q: What are home health care services?
A: Home health care services provide the patient with a range of assistance, including:

    • Skilled Care. Conducted under the direction of the physician, skilled care consists of services provided by health care professionals such as nurses and therapists.
    • Home care is a healthcare option allowing persons with acute, chronic or debilitating health problems to remain in their home as opposed to short-term and long-term hospital or nursing home stays.

Home care can be a cost effective healthcare alternative.

Q: How are home care services paid for?
A: Most home care services are reimbursed by third party payors with Medicare being the largest single payor. Home care is also covered by many health insurance and long term insurance plans including Medicaid. Some home care services are paid for by the patient or family.

Q: How does one qualify for Home Care?
A: Qualifications for Home Care are based on the payer’s rules. To receive this service as a Medicare benefit, clients must be homebound, need intermittent skilled services and must be under the care of a physician.

Q: What communities does Choice Home Health serve?
